COLAS is well placed to draw on its vast international network of resources to be able to provide innovative solutions during the life cycle of a flexible pavement. This involves providing the materials and services to design, construct, maintain and preserve the pavement so that it performs in the most cost effective manner. This means designing and testing the following materials: aggregates, hot and cold asphalt, microsurfacing, spray sealing, emulsion and foam bitumen stabilised materials. COLAS is also well placed to manufacture and supply aggregates in Victoria, hot and cold asphalt products through its national network of static and mobile plants. COLAS has a number of construction teams which can conduct asphalt paving and spray sealing operations through its state based businesses, namely COLAS QLD, COLAS NSW, COLAS WA, TopCoat Asphalt (SA) and VSA (VIC). COLAS Solutions, as a stand-alone national business, can offer pavement preservations treatments such as microsurfacing (Colmat), mineral filled polymer modified emulsions (Sealcoat) and crack sealing. These treatments, if applied timeously, can extend the life of your existing pavements so that their life costs are reduced. COLAS through its international network has extensive resources and expertise to provide asset management services to road authorities for long term maintenance contracts.
QUEENSLAND
COLAS Queensland operates across South East Queensland and Regional Queensland. Our range of services include asphalt manufacture and placement, bitumen spraying and sealing along with a range of asset management services. We have a network of fixed Asphalt Plants across South East Queensland. In addition, mobile Asphalt Plants complete that network with the ability to service projects across regional Queensland. We have experienced paving and sealing crews, supported by high standard equipment that provide us with the ability to service both the retail market of routine maintenance, rehabilitation and new construction for both the public and private sector.
NEW SOUTH WALES
COLAS New South Wales operates across both the Sydney and Regional New South Wales. Our range of services include asphalt manufacture and placement, bitumen spraying and sealing along with a range of asset management services. We have a network of fixed Asphalt Plants up the length of the east coast of New South Wales. In addition, mobile Asphalt Plants complete that network with the ability to service projects across regional New South Wales. We have experienced paving and spray sealing crews, supported by high standard equipment that provide us with the ability to service both the retail market of routine maintenance, rehabilitation and new construction for both the public and private sector.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA
COLAS Western Australia has grown to become Western Australia’s largest Road Surfacing contractor. Our range of services include bitumen transport, spraying and sealing . We have experienced sealing crews, supported by high standard equipment that provide us with the ability to service the local Council and State Road Authorities market for reseals and new construction for both the public and private sector.
SOUTH AUSTRALIA
In 2018 Topcoat Asphalt was acquired and joined the COLAS Australia Group. Topcoat is South Australia’s leading independent supplier of asphalt products and laying services with a proud history dating back to 1985. Topcoat has a fixed asphalt plant in Adelaide along with a mobile Asphalt Plant giving us the ability to service projects across regional South Australia. We have experienced paving crews, supported by high standard equipment that provide us with the ability to service both the retail market of routine maintenance, rehabilitation and new construction for both the public and private sector.
VICTORIA
In 2009 a 50-50 joint venture was formed between COLAS Australia and the Bartlett Family with the creation of VSA Roads. VSA’s range of services across south east Australia include asphalt manufacture and placement, bitumen spraying and sealing and the supply of high grade aggregates. We have experienced paving and sealing crews, supported by high standard equipment that provide us with the ability to service both the retail market of routine maintenance, rehabilitation and new construction for both the public and private sector.
